Lots of thoughts on the race on Tumblr at the moment, but at the moment I would like to congratulate Cambridge on their win, but even more so, on their honour and sportsmanship in the light of the dramatic events.

And most importantly, I wish a swift and full recovery to Alex Woods, who rowed on heroically with the rest of the Dark Blues. I believe they had an advantage when the race was restarted, and no one could doubt their determination and their endurance, but it was their talent and skill and teammanship which were really apparent today; had they been less well-trained, less aware, and less quick to stop, someone could have been seriously injured or killed.
